Day 3, Greenland Galore!

Day 3, Greenland Galore!
“The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.” (Robert W. Service)
“The Dorset and Thule Arrive in Greenland”…Dorset people were sea mammal hunters that hunted along the sea ice edge. About 4000 years ago they spread eastward from Alaska to Greenland.  By 1200AD Thule People, with their superior technologies, dominated the area.
We toured the small community of Sisimiut with our new group of passengers, then set sail, heading north up the coast of Greenland, approaching 70 degrees north latitude, just above Disko Island and Qeqertarsuaq, Ilulissat, and the Jacobshavn Icefjord, all the way altering for gigantic icebergs, cathedral-like in our path.
Northwest passage, …here we come!
p.s. Norm and his son Brad, from Blind River, ON are having “the time of their lives!”
so great to see them here on board!

p.p.s.s. I am wondering if anyone is out there reading these posts?  Does anyone have questions?  Please feel free to ask me questions or leave comments!  I will respond!
